Just a word of caution to anyone interested in the long island project. When I worked that area for a few months after Hurricane Sandy I observed a lot of very corroded strand, much of it was so far gone that strands were broken and many spans were being held up by the fiber and or coax, even on major road crossings. This stuff was built back in the early 80's and was the cheap Korean strand that we started seeing a lot of at that time.
Be careful as hell or demand that all that strand be replaced in the process. I don't understand how the power company and local governments have allowed that situation to exist this long.
