Methods used to steal your money:
The following methods only deal with one aspect of the backcharge proceedures in place, there are several other metrics involved, and these metrics are manipulated regularly to favor Matsec, AT&T, and DTV financially.
Service call backcharges for AT&T/DTV equipment failure.
Service call backcharges resulting from untrained CSR call center reps who can't perform basic troubleshooting steps over the phone, and are pressured to close calls quickly to meet their own metric performance standards.
Service call backcharges resulting from biased QA techs intentionally creating problems when performing field checks.
Service call backcharges as a result of customer error or tampering.
Service call backcharges as a result of rain fade, storm damages, and system outages caused by numerous AT&T/DTV internal errors.
Service call backcharges resulting from insufficient internet connections unrelated to DTV service.
Performance Metric Scorecard backcharges based on all service calls created within a scoring period regardless of the cause. The backcharge includes all service calls created, whether they were actually rolled on and completed or not, cancellations prior to tech arrival still count as a backcharge.
