Code words are what your downstream docsis signal is broken into. More importantly, code word errors are downstream signal errors that the modem is seeing. I work for charter as well, the training can be less than good at times. Some code word errors are fine, but if you see a high number or are seeing a slow download issue, the you need to look into your downstream signals. If using eqs live, dona remote reset on the modem which will clear them out and then test again after a few minutes. If you see the codeword errors climbing back up, you’ve got an issue. If they stay at 0 or really really low, you are good. Some older modems and mtas will “hold on” to errors and you will always see almost the same number every poll. hope this helps.
