As all the others are saying:  They been around...and around....and around.   They will eat up a small contractor who does not have the cash to fight back.  However,  you don't stick around for years, unless your properly funded.  Proceed with caution, get it all in writing, have an exit plan before you start.  They may have a communicaton division..but it's still B/V, birds of a feather stick together.
Just be safe..do quality work the first time out, no one gains with clean up backcharges.
