A Purchase Order is not a binding Contract..it's just part of a contract, where you are authorized to perform X amount of work at X Price within X time period and will be paid in X days.
Don't do the work...then as for this...get it in your hands before you start. Why aren't you using a work order if in fact you have a contract. If you have a contract..all this should be spelled out.
Be carefull and don't get strung out on payments.
