It's absolutely true. I recently dealt with management for a prime that was new to New Orleans/Baton Rouge that could absolutely not manage themselves out of a paper bag. I conservatively give them a year before they fold. They treat their contractors like garbage, and pay their in house techs next to nothing and never care about anything they have to say. It's already such a hard market to keep techs in, they should be a little more accomodating to the people that actually do want to work there. If you are thinking of working in one of those two cities all I can say is don't bother with any company that hasn't been there long. Your best bet is cable gain in those markets. In fact one of the lousy ones has a recent employment post in NOLA. RUN!!!!!!!
