It also gives them the ability to control what news you are exposed to and what adds and products are pushed to the consumer. It can be used as a big propaganda machine if only one point of view is allowed. This is what net neutrality prevents. Regardless of your political views getting access to make up your own mind on a subject should not be infringed.
