I think FTTP ( Fiber To The Premisis ) will be the new thing. I watch a dark fiber system being constructed to schools, hospitals, fire houses & cop shops. All that UG & pole to pole stuff to get the fiber to the house has to be done.
The down side is....it is rural work. There are folks still out there with a land line (only)...a B&W TV and a VCR who will greet you expecting FREE installation when the standard installation could be above $500.00 with so provider free stuff......Anyone know a standard rate for FTTP? That last fifty feet will require digging up suburbia!
