Personaly I feel the question we should be asking is "If god knows exactly what we WILL do and yet he STILL gets mad and tortures us for those actions, why does he give us free will and why is he pissed when he knew what we were going to do in the first place."
You can't punish someone for doing something that you knew they were about to do and you failed to stop them.
