Puerto Rico, the truth..

Glad2bebackhome failed to mention a few minor things in his statement of the facts.

The specs were correct except you are not required to knock on doors. The downtown area of Mayaquez is full of MDU's and is what you might consider, stacked on top of each other. The requirement for pole and audit numbers is correct. Only the downtown area of Mayaquez has both numbers and only if they are attached to power poles. Telephone poles have no numbers and over 80% of the system is constructed on telephone poles.
Ther are no audit numbers in the country since it has not been audited. The country running is just that. 150 to 200 foot spans. No pole numbers and mostly meter numbers as there are no addresses. All meter numbers are located at the street side even if the house is 150 off the street. The prints are not to scale for the island his mountainious and the maps are flat. All the country running has been pre riden and all street names have been identified. The country running is up hill and down hill and the mappers have been told not to worry about the scale just make sure the poles that are on corners are shown on corners. The country running consisit of 1,000 to 1,500' of nothing but cable then a few homes in a pocket or a higrise or two Since Glad2behome never had the opportunity to ride out the whole Mayaquez area is does not have the correct knowledge of the exact areas being surveyed.

The "paying your dues" was in reference to every mapper there for they have all worked the downtown area. One of the mappers persently on site wants the downtoen area because of the MDU count. Mayaquez has between 10,00 and 15,000 MDU's

The reference to "Bottom Feeders" is in respect to no subs of subs are allowed. This is to keep the price per mile high enought for everyone to make money.

Glad2behome sidestepped his contractual obligations and attempted to deal directly with the customer instead of bringing his problems to his prime. He threathened the customer when told he would have to turn in his completed prints for QC and then would be paid as per contractual obligations.

He even went so far as to threathen to call the police and accuse the customer of stealing some items from him. He was told the only stolen property was the maps he had in his posession. It was then the customer had him removed from the hotel that we have contracted with to give our field personnel rooms at a reduced rate.

Being the prime for Puerto Rico I can assure you that all personnel presently on the island have over 4,000 miles to complete and are currently making anywhere from 3,000 to 4,000 dollars per week depending on the running and the amount of MDU's encountered. I can show you invoices.

I can also tell you that there was no advertising for this project for all but a few mappers where already under contract and have worked for the prime in several areas over the past 30 years. The project has a full complement of people at present. Glad2behome was referred by another experienced mapper that I have personally known for a number of years. He did however failed to inform me that Glad2behome was one of those exceptional mappers that can supply all the wine your party will ever need.

If you feel that Glad2behome has tarnished the reputation of the curent customer in Puerto Rico, feel free to email me for I can give you more then 30 years of referrences and first hand contact with the mappers presently working the Puerto Rico project.

Have a great day. (-REDACTED-)
