The last job I did working along side of the railroad was a fiber run from Pittsburght to Baltimore. But it was back in 1981 and we were getting $165 bucks per splice....try that now and your be laughed at. Can't be much different from any other splicing contracts, the only thing about railroad work...you gotta get completely off the right of way when it's time for a train to come by. They are very concerned about Safety to the point your loose an 11/2 day just getting prepared.
Splicing rates will not be like the rates for cable.....need more info to help you !!!
