I worked for Marion as the head splicer on the Jacksonville, Ill. project and had many good times with him. Unfortunately we didn't stay in touch over the years until I saw a post he made on this site a few years ago.
I got in touch with him and we talked a few times up to my last conversation with him late 2015. He told me then that he was going into surgury to treat Cancer. Following his surgury, his wife, Beckey returned a voicemail to me that said all went well and he was in recovery.
She did not inform me of his death. I'm shocked! He was a good man, a great friend at the time we worked together. RIP Marion.
