Steer Plate for Vermeer D 4/6

I have an older drill here that is in need of a new steer plate.   I've checked with the local Vermeer,  and they can't seem to find a plate that fits this head.  I'm pretty sure it is the original head/housing for this little rig.  I was told it might have been something that was discontinued.  The plate has six bolts holding it to the head.  The bolts are 3 on each side running in a straight row.  No v pattern.  I can add pics if someone can explain to me how to do so.  Thanks in advance for any of you who can help me out.
