In Austin the further west of I-35 the harder the rock is. The city requires pre and post bore inspections on all shots and they want to physically see any city utility you cross as well as the other utilities. The primes i have talked to try to help you out on all that they can because of all the city requirements. It is a tough town to work in because of the politics but there are a lot of companies that do it every day.
