Do your paperwork spot on. Ask for written specs to accompany contract. Document and keep all back up. Any oral agreements or changes follow up with emails to confirm and leave a paper trail. Ive done a lot of work for mastec and subs of them. Ive experienced good and bad but the good thing is they are publicly held so their legal department controls them. Every time ive had issue with the run around on retainer ive had a lawyer draft a letter of demand for payment or verification of why it is veing withheld. Every time i got my money back in a week.
Do your work right, dot your i's and cross your t's youll be okay.
