Two things wrong with your statement. 


1- If you can't show up by 8am, get out now.  Go bag groceries, flip burgers or whatever quit ruining the rest of our reputations.  This just isn't for ya.  

2- How often would you show up to your local gas station if they weren't open when you needed gas?  Be smart, run your business like any succesfull business and enjoy the perks of making a decent living.  If you aren't making a decent living go do something else.  Sounds like they did you a solid with the heads up, most companies just quit doing business with ya when service sux.    


You always have the option to go elsewhere.  If you don't like your situation change it or go do something else.  Realize this, no one can make you show up at 8, I do it as my duty to make a customer happy.
