I would think a passport to enter and a work Visa would be all your would need. I called a contractor we use out of Ontario but they have not been to the US to work is all.
Take care - too bad the exchange rate is not higher - 20 years ago there were some splicers working for US Cable here in the states, and they did quite well on the exchange....
