Does anyone have any recommendations for a low cost (less than maybe $500) optical light source and power meter set? We have been proving installation success just by installing and turning up equipment, however it would be nice to test the fiber before turn up. I realize a good set can run thousands, but it is not critical enough for us to spend that kinda dough when we are the ones servicing the network, and we have rarely had any issues. We primarily are running single mode fiber less than one mile. Also, ideally the test set would have the ability to store results for upload. Ruiyan is one manufacturer that I see...RY-LS300 and RY-PM300...any experience out there? Thanks.
