What kind of amp? Is the power supply voltage and the amp voltage set the same, Assuming the amps you are using have a voltage setting?

Have you tried replacing the amp?

Are there just to many amps in cascade and you are drawing to much current? If you are borderline it may take a while for the fuse to get hot enough to melt, giving you time to leave.

Really need more info.
