When I learned to splice I had to have 6" of straight cable from the edge of the connector to the first bend. Doesn't the customer provide any spec re: loops, eqt distance from pole etc?
In 2002 TWC in Maine had inspectors checking to see if the lashing wire wrapped the strand following the twists in the strand.
