You can do it, but you have to change the sweep setting in the SDA 5000 from digital to analog. I don't remember from memory what you have to press to do that...but if you play around with it, you should find it. The setting that lets you sweep with the 5500 (Headend gear) is SDA and the 3st is...I just don't remember...
