I have done enough landline maintenance to know the telcos are trimming back maintenance and staff as many customers drop their landline service.

You are correct in that there are many persons without a computer, cell phone or credit card. They are becoming a minority and will be allowed to isolate themselves as landline service to them becomes too expensive to maintain.


They will also have a hard time getting a signal to their B&W TVs.
