The prices have more to do with OPEC. some union of countrys that got together to sell their oil as a monopoly. Most oil producing contries are part of OPEC. The last OPEC meeting they couldn't decide what to do with the amount of production. Saudia Araibia decided to produce more oil and help saturate the market of oil. Since most of our oil still comes from over seas OPEC has a big infulence. OPEC has taken the stance of keeping oil prices low to stop countires like the USA from producing our own oil. So if they can... they will keep oil prices low to stop our productions. I did read a report that Albania? has enough money reserve for the next 6 years... HOWEVER they are complaining to OPEC that their oil is being sold too low and they will have to cut some of their social programs. So for now OPEC is takeing the side of keeping prices low so they can raise them again later. with the intent to bankrupt everyone except their member nations
