I've also been in cable for 30 years and going thru the same injury of a rotator cuff for 2nd time. First time around was 5 years ago, I had to pay for MRI, this time same thing. Had surgery nov 14', haven't heard any issues of not paying. (But haven't checked the mail lately.) I think it's who you work for as far as how quick everything goes. Tore rot cuff in oct, surg at beginning of November and waiting to get better. Rehab is so long and stressful to get back where you were.
I'd keep pushing to get done ASAP. The recoup is the long journey. I'm at 6 weeks post op and just now raising arm up in assisted. Tough surgery. Wish speed and recovery my friend
