No...get you a lawyer if you think it's that important. Retainage is for work related items, your contract should state when it will be released and reasons for holding your retainage. Do you have your insurance activated up to date..if so they have no reason to hold it. Like most primes...they will find a reason to hold it because no one takes them to court. If you worked for it...fight for it..get you a lawyer in the town your working, ago around the prime and go to the customer and tell him your going to file a lien on the system...your get action..probably toss off the job..but what the hell...no need to for for nothing as in most cases...your retainage is your profit..good luck with it.....Microman
