I agree with you to a point, if you are able to work, then work.  What I don't agree with is the antiquated way of health insurance, the health of the population should not be determined on if you have money or not, if you have kids, and one of your children has a life threatening illness, your way of thinking is let them die if they can't afford treatment.  Sure that may be fine for you, until it happens to your own family.  

Now can we stop every single death from occurring?  No, but can we do everything with in the means of the greatest country in the history of the planet to ensure everyone has access to equal health care?  Yes, I think that is something we should be able to accomplish, with out politics.
