Yep worked over 28 years in the field doing everything from installs and burying drops, to plant, tower and headend construction. Along with splicing, activation and sweep. Worked inhouse for 10 years and contracted for another 18.
Now I get paid not only for what I can do but also for what I know. I still go out and hang fiber and climb the sticks when I can because thats what I love to do, not because I have to.
So yeah, I work at a desk for a good part of my job, and I'm paid well for it too.
Maybe when you grow up and no longer ware a diaper full of shit I'll let you polish my boots.
