Ive always found the 'if you like your plan' scandal interesting.
On one hand, you have a POTUS that passes a law, in which one of the things it does is set a minimum on the amount of coverage for insurance plans. He then makes the 'if you like....' comment.
On the other hand, you have people with plans that dont meet the minimum requirements. They know the new law has been passed to, in part, set minimum amounts of coverage.
Is it not implied that, since the law sets a new minimum for covereage, if your plan is below that minimum you wont be able to keep it. Seems pretty straight forward to me.
I guess if he had said "if your current plan meets the new minimum coverage you can keep it" he would've been fine. But I just dont get why people wouldn't already realize this was the case. Are we really that clueless?? Oh well...he said it, and this is one he had to swallow.
