If you want cheap, look at Sadelco.  Next in line by price is Trilithic then JDSU.  I prefer the Trilithic for cost and features.  It's also fairly quick navigation from feature to feature.  The JDSU is very good but costly and only good if you have to use it for specific functions.  Sadelco might be your best bet from the sound of your post.  I use a JDSU DSAM 6300 daily but only because of specific hardware functions.
