I would love to see CATV lineman put in some kind of effort to have their skills recognized by Congress. But I think its wrong to try and piggy back  off the efforts of others, who put in the work to get this resolution passed. Especially, when folks like the IBEW played a significant role in getting this resolution passed, and we all know how most in this field think the IBEW is terrible and useless to workers.

The IBEW plays a role in making sure the work performed by their members is recognized by their employers, by negotiating pay scales that increase and not decrease. They also played a role in having their member's work recognized by Congress. It would be GREAT to see CATV lineman have the same effects on their trade.

After all, whats the use of having power to your TV/modem, with no service activated to either...Go for it!
