Back in 85 we were splicing trunk doing Node splits & turn a rounds when the OJ Simpson trial was going on in a very black part of Winston Salem, NC and during the day of the verdict we had about 3000 very pissed off subscribers both Black & White, the Time Warner techs were running around like chickens with their heads cut off, we had people with guns pointing at us demanding that their cable be turned back on right now, I just pointed at the TWC Company trucks and said it's their fault, I think the upgrade supervisor got demoted for that blunder for letting us cut that day.
We had Forsythe County Sheriff and Winston Salem police threating us with criminal charges of inciting a riot, That was the good old days.
