Bell Labs hitting 10G on copper

Bell Labs/Alcatel/Lucent says their hitting 10G's on traditional copper lines, their XG-Fast runs at 500 mhz for 70 meters.

Don't look like much of a threat to cable industry...70 meters on copper, to get 1G probably using two copper cables... Fiber to the curb/hub-then copper to the home.

Just wreck out all the copper and go fiber all the way
