The article did not say anything about it being Dwight D. Eisenhower signed the laws to add the words "Under God" added to the pledge and to have "In God We Trust" as the motto for our nation.
Because they were signed into law they had to pass both the House and Senate. (This was before Obama who we all know governs by fiat). So it was hardly Christian Radicals that added Under God. Both bills passed both houses by a majority of both sides of the isle.
But it's nothing new for liberals to twist and distort history and facts now is it.
