Re: Is BICSI the way?


Well to try to answer your questions, as far as having a number of years of verifiable service that should not be a problem with over 20 years in the industry.

The NCTI courses give you a lot of the theory behind how everything works and contain some good information but aren't necessary for BICSI. Most employers look at NCTI as a sign that you are willing to do more than is required for your job.
I took most of mine years ago when I worked inhouse, because they paid for them as long as you passed with a C or better, and you got a $0.25 an hour raise for everyone you passed. I actually did mine on my lunch times and a few hours on Sunday mornings. I tried to knock out 2 a year for a while, but that was just me.

The bicsi.org website is where I got started and keep up to date on what's going on.
