I do not know what you are attempting to do with the interstage (MDR board) on the NODE, but in my opinion, the MRD board SHOULD NOT be adjusted at it was already factory alligned and swept to the manufacturers tilt flatness specification for that node launch amplifier. The only exception would be if someone "tweeked" or misaligned the board with a screwdriver, and if that's happened, it should be done on the BENCH and not in the field. MDR boards in the amplifiers are "open game" as it is a sweeping "trim" adjustment to adjust for sweep response from the cable. In the NODE, there is no response caused by the fiber, only the electronics in between.  Just my 2-cents!
