Point systems are typically based around 5 minutes = 1 point ; 12 points per hour. Jobs are predetermined by the HSP to be done in a certian amount time, and are assigned points accordingly. Pay per point is any where from 1.50 to 3.00 per point depending on just how good a deal you got and where you are located. It is very similar to peice work, with just a little bit more math involved.
