That is actually a pretty accurate statement. "Religion" doesn't save. Jesus does. Problem with religion is it is taught and handed down without many researching what they are being taught to discover whether there is any credibility to it. The Bible is God's word to man. It is the final authority in our lives, and religion gives it one heck of a spin by adding man's traditions and ways to it. It is Christ plus nothing.
For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
