The penny..what good is it, you find them laying in parking lots, under your floor mats, pants pocket during laundry, in your ash tray when trying to paid a fast food bill, there useless !
The penny first came out in 1787 and it's said that some 300 billion were made. Back in 2010 alone, they made 4,010,830,000 along with 1,119,000,000 dimes. Penny's are made of Copper-Zinc-Tin and some Bronze. They are just like the Scagawea and S.B Anthony dollar coins, we need to drop the penny and toss in the nickle and dime while your at it.....just round off the purchase price up or down. Stay with the paper money like the rest of the world. When you check out there is always a tray of pennies for your use. so what good are they. Kids can't even buy candy for under a dollar bill any more...just stop making them, let the collectors fight over what's still out here in the market place.
