Re: OTDR Reflections



 Worked on a couple of runs all day, Finally said the hell with this and replaced a bunch of jumpers, got all my reflections at the panels resolved but 6. I tested the jumpers for loss and they tesyed just the same as the new ones, I marked a couple and installed them in a different panel went to another hub and shot them looked good no huge reflections my loss was .179 on one and .173 on the other. I still have one that is loosing .112 but it shows to have -57 reflectance but my trace is nice and flat. Still scratching my head. Re-spliced in several enclosures trying to get the loss down, splicer sayed .000 to a .002 some improved but others stayed the same or a little worse. 
 Most of the fiber is Commscope or Lucent (old) some splices where 10 years old or older, some was old Commscope to new Commscope. I think I have got the splices about as good as I can get, so I am working on the few spots at patch panels in the morning.
