You may have discovered something others should consider. This work does not pay enough (any more) to relocate or live on the road. After road expenses you often break even or less.
AND if a company cannot fill their ranks with local people there is a reason.
In the case of HI an employer has to motivat an unknown person to travel from CA or similar to HI.
