You say yo hate out of control government, but yet seem to like the results of what you call out of control government.
You work for federal contractor. Maybe you've forgoten that federal contractors must follow Davis - Bacon wage guidelines. Similar to the min wage, Davis Bacon sets a minimum of what can be paid to workers, while working on a governmnet project. Just like the min wage, Davis Bacon wages have shown to have a positive effect on the wages of the people who work on a government project, but their jobs tittles arent covered.
For example, a company may be paying an installer Davis Bacon wages of $25/hr when working on the federal project. That same installer will get paid $20/hr on a non government project. Because the installer makes $25/hr the engineer, who is not covred by Davis Bacon, also gets a pay increase. All because of big, so called, out of control government.
