Meaning,why doesnt anyone suggest ways of getting raises in this industry. CATV workers work on poles along with 2 other industrys. The compensation for the other 2 are MUCH higher than CATV workers. CATV workers could very well be considered 'cheap labor', when compared to the other 2 industrys, and instead of finding ways to better their conditions, they become content with the low wages and appear to begrudge the idea of other workers getting paid more, because they (CATV workers) are getting more.

When your wages are going down but your industry is booming, you're getting screwed. The fast food industry is booming. Fast food companies oftern wont hire people under 18, meaning they recongize that they need a better more mature workforce.  The average min wage worker is 29 yrs old, and is likely a single mother. The min wage has not kept up with inflation. These are all valid reasons why min wage should be raised.

Cable workers deserve a raise, IMO. BUt they have no voice in their industry, and therfore their wages stay low, while their pride to be a CATV worker stays high. You guys are a blessing to the folks at the top.
