It's the blame scenario going on which I feel the ultimate
responsibility of the prime to resolve and to keep the MSO
out of the situation. If you are a Prime Contractor you will
operate like one. In this case you have subs who have gone belly
up after working several weeks and some cases as much as several
months without pay yet they continued to be a team player and work
without seeing a check and working on promises to be paid.
this scenario has played out in this business for years. I would
encourage MSOs to visit the cable bar and do a search before agreeing
to hire a prime just to make sure there were no issues such as this one.
i personally do not like conflict like this however it seems to get worse
and worse as the business becomes more desperate. I encourage Allcom
to resolve this issue and I feel a solution will come about as long as the key
players do what they need to do. Issues like this affect this business a lot more
than some believe.
