The ONLY WAY a technician can(Possibly) "legally" hold equipment is if he has already filed a Mechanics Lean on that spacific equipment. If it is pay he / she is looking to get? There is no such thing as a legal way to hold equipment. It is ILLEGAL. IE THEFT, LOL.
Even if you OWE him / her money! They must go thru the legal system as messed up as it is!
So bottomline.....The tech returns the equipment or you file a theft report...THAT is depending of course on your ability to prove "the equipment is yours"! As has been stated!
