Owned two pairs of Wesco's, one pair of hoffman's, and a pair of danner's. If your looking for tall, go with the Danner's, by far the most comfortable. If your looking for lower boots go with La Sportiva Makalu, they are a mountaineering boot but extremely comfortable on the ground and puts any of the above boots to shame on the pole.
