Unions may not always be the only solution. I agree, they could end up being just another entity coming in to control another bad situation. But how do we explain the successful operation of the IBEW, etc...or welders unions? These guys are paid for simply waking up in the morning on time. IE. per diems, travel reimbursements.
They work people. Its nothing new. We get tricked by the demonization of unions all the time. But these guys who are members seem to always stay employed, keep their homes, are paid on time, and are at least treated with dignity.
Yes there are fees. But how much do we lose once we are screwed? How many comrads do we see being evicted, stuck in the same ruts?
Just thoughts.
