No disrespect, but this is just more paranoid propaganda. There will always be new phases and forms of technology in this industry. There will always be a place for lineman in this industry. Some pay more some not so much, reguardless it is a good idea to stay up to date with all the different changes. I am 49 years old and started my career as a hook when I was 18. I have rolled with the changes and I have made a decent living in this field. For you young men out there learn it all aerial, underground, spliceing, sweep, tower, infrastruture, shelters and everything that goes with it. Stay strong stay clean and stay safe.
