In the home stretch of the 2012 presidential campaign, from August to September, the unemployment rate fell sharply — raising eyebrows from Wall Street to Washington.
In case you did not know it one of the first things Obama did when he took office in 2009 after having his college records sealed, was put the census bureau under White House control. This bureau is in charge of collecting the monthly data used to compile the unemployment numbers.
