Could be worse/different!

Arrived at Fairbanks,Alaska airport about midnight last spting.... the sun had just set but it was still light enough to drive without lights. A few hours later the sun began to rise for another 12+hour day. I am told it reverses for winter,,,dark almost all the time and colder than most places; they had a freezer running so tourists could get a feel for -40 F.

Then there are military town like Norfolk,VA that have stuff running 24/7.

You gotta go where you are comfortable.
