I think the key to the question is "ribbonize fiber as necessary". The type of closure will make a difference slightly as well. I have been splicing for 20 years and can prep a Tyco closure, and splice 96 loose tube fiber in under 4 hours. Add time for icky-pick or old style fiber (longer to prep slightly). If you have to ribbonize 96 fiber on two sides because some engineer loves mass fusion, you may be in for a little longer day. No matter how things end up, this is no more than an 8 hour day, plenty of coffee breaks included..... Unless, the splicer is inexperienced. Then, it could be a week.
